  • Right-click This PC icon.

3. Allocate More RAM to Minecraft

You need to have 4 to 8GB of RAM to run Minecraft smoothly. But sometimes, background apps don’t let Minecraft access the RAM it needs. That’s why you need to allocate the necessary RAM for Minecraft.

Here are the steps to allocate more RAM to Minecraft via Task Manager:

  • Open the Task Manager menu while Minecraft is running. (Shortcut CTRL +ALT + Delete)
  • Go to the Details tab > Right-click Minecraft.
  • Choose Set Priority to High. set-priority

You can also allocate more RAM from the in-game menu. You just need to change the Xmx value, and you are good to go.

  • Open the Minecraft Launcher.

  • Choose your intended profile.
  • Toggle On the JVM arguments.
