Almost all modern devices(Keyboard, Mouse, AirPods, Headphones etc.) have become wireless.
If you have installed Windows 11 on your PC and have wireless devices in your hand, you must link them via Bluetooth. But first, you need to turn on the Bluetooth feature. And Windows 11 offers a number of ways to switch Bluetooth on or off.
Here I will explain four different methods to do that.
So, tag along.
How to Enable or Disable Bluetooth in Windows 11
To turn off or on Bluetooth in Windows 11, go to the bottom right corner of the Taskbar and click on the network icon. Press the Bluetooth icon. It will turn on or off the Bluetooth feature.
Seems easy, right? Amongst all four, this is the easiest way. Besides that, there are three different ways to turn on Bluetooth in Windows 11. You can also try those. I have provided those methods, including from the taskbar one with images below. Let’s see how it’s done.
Here are the steps to enable and disable Bluetooth in Windows 11:
1. From Windows Taskbar
- Click on the network icon from the Taskbar’s lower right corner. It will launch Quick Settings.
- Press on the Bluetooth icon to turn it on. Pressing the same Bluetooth icon, you can turn it off.
If there is no button or the Bluetooth icon is missing in the Quick Settings, click on the pencil icon > Add > Select Bluetooth > press Done. Bluetooth will be added to the Quick Settings.
Whether you want to check which Bluetooth devices are available and want to pair with one, click the arrow symbol beside the Bluetooth icon. You can connect with the other devices from there.
2. From Windows Settings
- Right-click on the Windows icon and select Settings.
- Click on Bluetooth & devices.
- Press the toggle icon beside Bluetooth to turn it on.
To pair with any device, for example, AirPods with your Dell laptop, click on the Add device plus icon. It will show which device is ready to connect. From there, select the device you want to link with.
The process is the same if you have an HP laptop and want your AirPods connected to it.
3. From Device Manager
- Right-click on the Windows icon and select Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click on the Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) or whichever driver for Bluetooth you have installed on your PC.
- Select Disable device.
It will switch off the Bluetooth function. To enable Bluetooth in windows 11, right-click on the same Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) option and select Enable device.
If you don’t see Bluetooth options in the Device Manager, it means the feature or the driver is not installed yet. Click on the Scan for hardware changes icon from the top menu. It will scan for the missing Bluetooth function and install it automatically.
4. From Airplane Mode
- Press the Windows + I button on your keyboard to launch Settings.
- Select the Network & Internet option.
- Click on Airplane mode.
- Go to the Wireless devices section.
- Hit the toggle icon to turn on Bluetooth. Click the same toggle icon to turn it off.
