Mid-Roll Ads: These advertisements usually appear in videos that last longer than ten minutes. A lengthy video can have more than one Mid-roll ad.
Bumper Ads: You will get this kind of ad at the end of a video. The purpose of these adverts is to grab viewers’ attention. This type of ad lasts only 5 to 6 seconds.

Though it’s tolerable to see the ads once in a while, the frequent pop-up is not. When it begins to show up on YouTube videos repeatedly, it reaches the level of annoying. Thankfully, there are methods to avoid YouTube advertisements.
Here is the way to stop ads appearing in YouTube Video:
As you know, YouTube is free. To continue this free service, YouTube has to run ads on all the videos. If you are really pissed at the ads, you should use YouTube Premium. In YouTube premium, you can watch videos ad-free.
YouTube Premium subscription costs more or less $11 per month. You will probably get a one to three months free trial. After that, they will charge the billing. There is a system for family & student plans. The details you will find on the YouTube Premium website.
Make a subscription to any one of the plans & you will get to watch videos without facing interruption by the ads.
Method 2: Install Ad Blocker Extension
If you don’t feel like using YouTube by spending money on YouTube premium, you can try an Ad blocker extension to avoid the ads. Google offers multiple ad block extensions for the Chrome browser in its Chrome Web Store.
Similar extensions are also available for Microsoft Edge, Firefox and other desktop browsers.
Install an ad block extension on your browser, and maximum ads will stop appearing on your YouTube videos. If you want them permanently gone, you need to buy a subscription package for the extension, like the YT Premium.
As soon as the unskippable video comes up on the YouTube video, press the Tab + Enter button. A new About this ad window will turn up. That will explain why you get this ad. 
From there, if you click on the Stop seeing this ad option, you won’t get this ad again. But it won’t stop you receive other advertisements from that advertiser. If you feel offended by the ad & think it’s violating YouTube policy, you can select the Report this ad option & state your complaint there.
If your complaint turns out to be true, YouTube will take necessary action against that ad & the channel. But don’t jump into reporting all the ads you see.
