This means a server user can have multiple roles to play if the server owner can rely on him and think that person is suitable.

At first, you have to create roles in the Discord server. It is the key element to manage the users.
Here are the steps for creating roles in Discord:
- Open the Discord app and log in to your account.
- Access your server.
- At the right of your server name, you will see a small drop-down arrow. Click on it.
- Now you have to click on the Server Settings option.
- Once the options appeared, navigate to the Roles option.
- You will see a box saying Create Role on the right side and click on it.
- You will see the created role as New Role.
- You can change colour and set a description of any role.
- In the end, you have to save the changes by selecting Save Changes.

- Click on the Manage Members option from the upper-right side.
- Click on Add Member option.
- Now you will see the member list. Check the box beside the member name of your server.
- If you want that you will assign two or more members to this role, you need to check those boxes.

Method 2: Check the Roles of Every Member
You must ensure that you have assigned different roles to different people. If you allow the same permission to many users then there will be chaos.
If you think any server member is qualified enough to carry many roles at the same time, then this is up to you. A server member can use multiple roles.
If there are few members on your Discord server, then you don’t need to assign the same roles to the same member. But if your server has many users, then you can assign a role to many members. Otherwise, there will be miscommunications between the users. This can be harmful to service users.
Method 3: Uninstall and Reinstall Discord
If the above fixes fail to solve your problem of server roles not working on the Discord server, you simply can uninstall discord from your operating system. Then, you can reinstall Discord and follow the above way for creating a role and assigning it to a service member.
Here is the process for uninstalling Discord:
- Type Control Panel on the Windows search box and press enter.
- When the result appeared, you will see Uninstall a Program option just below the Programs option.
- Click on this option and you will see all the installed applications in your system.
- You have to select Discord and right-click on it.
- Uninstall option will appear and click on it to uninstall Discord.
After uninstalling Discord, you have to install this application again. Download the Discord app using a trustable browser or Microsoft Store. Install this application again and log in back to your account using the id and password.
