Let me start with the positive news. Yes, you can use a PS4 disc on a PS5. But you can’t use the PlayStation 1, 2, or 3 discs on the PlayStation 5.

If a player feels the need to remove the console without being near the device, they may do so by pressing the eject button. It’s a good thing for these folks that the PS5’s controller and menu allow them to eject a disc remotely.

You can go to the home screen by pressing and holding the PlayStation button on your DualSense controller. Find the game presently in the disc drive on the main screen. How to Fix PS5 Eject Button not Working?

Well, to be fair, there can be many reasons behind it. It can be the faulty game disc or the blu-ray DVD that is causing the problem. PS5 discs are very prone to getting dirty or damaged. 2. Scroll down to the system.
3. Select system software.
4. Press X on system software updates.
5. Download and install the update.

3. Use the Controller

You can eject discs in the PlayStation 5 in two ways. As I have discussed earlier, one with the eject button and another way is via the controller. Your eject button can get stuck, and if you find a way to release the disc, it will work like the way it used to.

Here are the steps to eject a disc with a PS5 controller:

1. Go to the main menu.
2. Select the game or the media disc you want to eject.
3. Press the options button.
4. Chose eject disc.

Your disc should come out at this point. If not, you have to take out the disc from your PlayStation 5 manually. For that, you will need a screwdriver and a flat surface.

4. Manually Eject the Disc
