How to Use VLC Player Skin

Since I suggested the skins you should use, it’s my responsibility to help you with the installation process. It’s a little tricky process. So, I want your undivided attention to this part.
Here are the steps to use VLC player skins:
- Download the skin: Choose the skin you want to apply to your player. After finalizing your mindset, click on the skin. You have to find out the download button by scrolling down. Click to download and save it on your computer.
- Navigate to VLC folder: Once the skin is downloaded. Go to the program file folder by following this path ( File explorer > Local disk C/D/E > program files> VideoLAN > VLC > Skins. Don’t rush. Follow exact instructions.
- Copy the Downloaded Skin: Inside the skin folder, you shall find default.vlt. Minimize this window. Copy the skin file you downloaded earlier and paste it into this folder.
- Open VLC: Once you have copied the file, open your VLC media and select the tools tab. Click on preferences from that tab.
- Use Custom Skin: Once you’re in the preferences window, you shall Use custom skin on the right. Click on that, and a dashboard will appear.
- Chose Your Skin: You now need to navigate again to the location of your skin folder for your VLC player. This is the folder where you copied the downloaded skin. Choose the skin and click on Open.
- Complete the process: Save the skin on your VLC media. Double-check if you’ve selected the right skin. Restart your VLC, and you’ll find your preferred skin on the media player.
