We have much better apps for that, like the Teams app from Microsoft themselves.

So, if you’ve established all your meetings on Outlook and are trying to transfer them to Teams, I’ve got you covered.

This article will explain how to convert Outlook meetings to Teams meetings, and we’ll further explore the error Sorry, you need to sign out of Teams and sign in again before you can schedule your meeting when converting to Teams and fix it for good.

Switching Outlook meetings to Teams meetings is mostly a smooth transition, but sometimes, you’ll get the pop-up that says, Sorry, you need to sign out of Teams and sign in again before you can schedule your meeting. outlook-sorry-signout-signin

But signing out and signing in does nothing, and we get the same pop-up again.

However, the error is pretty easy to fix. Just go through the solutions below, and the problem will be solved.

Here’s how to fix Sorry, you need to sign out of Teams and sign in again:

1. Clear Device cache Files

Corrupted cache files can cause problems. So, it’s better to just delete them.

Here’s how to clear cache files:

  • Right-click the Windows icon and select Run.
  • Type in temp and press enter. run-temp
  • Select all the files and folders and Delete Don’t worry about the files and folders that can’t be deleted; just skip them.
  • Open Run again and write %temp%, and press enter. run-temp-percentage
  • Select all the files and folders and Delete them, which can be deleted and skip others.
  • Launch Run again.
  • Type in prefetch and click OK.run-prefetch
  • Select all the files and folders and Delete them and skip the others.

2. Clear Microsoft Teams Cache Files

Sometimes cache data can contain corrupted files, which may result in the problem you are facing. Clear the cache file and check whether the problem is fixed or not.

Here’s the process to clear the Teams cache files:

  • Close Microsoft Teams and make sure it’s not running in the background.
  • Right-click on the Windows icon and select Run.
  • Type in %appdata%/Microsoft/Teams to open the Teams cache folder. open-teams-cache
  • Select all the files and folders and Delete them.

3. Re-enable Teams Add-in

You are getting this problem might be because the Teams add-in is not properly added to Outlook. Disabling and enabling the Teams add-in will resolve this problem.

Here’s how to disable and enable Teams add-in to Outlook:

  • Launch Outlook.
  • Go to File > Options > Add-ins. outlook-file-options
  • Select COM Add-ins and click Go. outlook-com-add-ins
  • Uncheck Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in and press OK. outlook-teams-add-in-uncheck
