The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occurred:
Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.
Due to this message, the mapped network drive cannot be created. And, clicking on OK pulls in another error; that says:
The network folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password. To connect using a different user name and password, first disconnect any existing mappings to this network share.

net use /delete \\servername\foldername

Why does this error occur?
According to the scientists, this error is a technical glitch of Windows. Windows do not support multiple connections running concurrently under the same network server from the same client with multiple credentials.
Therefore, they recommend dropping the first and original connection if any user wants to establish a new connection with separate credentials.
