The heading might confuse you cause there is no Oculus headset available. It is now a Meta headset. So, if you are using a quest 2, that is now Meta quest 2. Now, let’s jump to the real discussion.
To be honest about the metaverse, I can say it doesn’t exist on the level you are expecting. The promo you watched on various media platforms, is the future of the metaverse, and which has merely started. If you just want to adopt the early experience, go with the following section.
Learning how to use the Meta quest headsets is challenging as the whole abstraction is new to us. But, with the help of proper instructions, you can get started with the meta world. In this section, I have arranged the optimal guideline for you to understand the connectivity.

Connect Meta Headset to Your Pc
You don’t need a computer if you want to use the Meta headset. You can connect with the android handset and join the metaverse.
But, if you have a PC, I would recommend you to follow the next steps in order to connect the meta world.
- Connect the VR headset with a USB port on your motherboard.
- Connect with an external hub if any of the USB ports are not available.
- Install the Oculus Software to your computer.
- Launch the program once it is installed.
- Setup the connection if it’s not automatically started.
- Launch any VR game to check if it is working properly.
Note: Always remember to connect with extra large cables so that you can move around with more space. Make sure your internet connection is undisturbed.

Connect Meta Headset to TV
The new Meta quest headsets are easy to use. It’s not like the previous Oculus quest which gave me hard times whenever I tried to connect it with TV.
Perform the following steps if you want to connect it properly.
- Launch any experience on your headset.
- Press the menu button on the right hand controller.
- Select the cast menu once the menu bar is on the screen.
- Go to Oculus.com/casting to check your headset is streaming or not.
Now, you are all set to enjoy the meta world. Now that you are connected with the Computer/ TV properly, the question comes to your mind, How can I get into the metaverse?
Want to know a secret? Playing Fortnite is also considered as joining a metaverse. How? As you know metaverse is a virtual environment where you can engage with other real people but in virtual form. You do that on Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft. Right?
In all of those games, people are viewed as an avatar, and that is the basic idea of the metaverse. And there are tons of Oculus platforms where you can get the basic meta environment.
