A meet link will appear if you click Create a meeting for later option. Copy the link and share it via any other online medium. In this way, you can also send an invite to any person you want to your meeting.

2. Use Google Calendar

Another way to send an invite is by using Google Calendar. The main advantage of using the calendar to call someone for a meeting is that you can create & send a Google Meet invite in advance.

Take the following steps to send an invite to Google Meet using Google Calendar:

  • Open your browser and go to the Google Calendar website.
  • Press on a date when you are going to arrange the meeting.
  • Click on Add Google Meet video conferencing option.
  • Type the email address in the Add guest field.

You will just need the meet link, send the invite in Gmail to your colleagues or students, and tell them to join Google Meet using it.

  • Go to the Google Meet website.

Non-Gmail users must be allowed entry by the moderator while in the meeting. Any general attendees can’t admit them to the meeting.

When the moderator leaves, the room will lock. He can come back anytime and allow the remaining guests to enter the meeting.
