You need to make sure that your Firewall is not preventing the connection between your Wifi and Microsoft Teams.
Here’s a way you can choose to tweak your Firewall settings:
- Press Windows key+R to open the run prompt.
- Type control and hit enter.
- Choose System and Security.
- Select Windows Defender Firewall and click on Allow an app or feature… from the left panel.
- Click on Change Settings and look for Microsoft Teams/teams.exe/Skype business. If you can’t find any of them, it’s time to add your Microsoft Teams.
- Minimize the window and click on the search option.
- Type Microsoft Team.
- Right-click on the app when it appears and selects Open file location.
- Click on the drop-down menu and copy the file location.
- Open the Control Panel window and click on Allow another app…
- Choose Browse and paste the file location in the File name
- Click Open and click on Add.
- Check the boxes for both Private and Public Click OK.

Solution 2: Flush Teams Cache
Sometimes surfing the internet leads us to affect our devices with bugs and errors, and Teams cache is not out of it. So, if this is the case with you, too, you might face your Teams not working with Wifi even though there is a Wifi connection.
You must clear the Microsoft Teams cache from your device to solve this.

- Press Windows key+R to launch the run prompt.
- Type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and click OK.
- Move to the Cache
- Press Ctrl+A and delete them all.

If you are using an updated version of Microsoft Teams, there is a chance you might have this problem on your computer. You need to update your Teams application to get this issue resolved.
Here’s a simple way to update your Microsoft Teams:
- Launch Microsoft Teams and click on the three horizontal dots beside your profile icon.
- Click on the Check for updates.
The latest patch of Microsoft Teams will be automatically installed and updated. If the problem stays, move to the following one.
Solution 5: Reconfigure your Router
If you face your Microsoft Teams is working on the office Wifi but not on your home, it’s probably your router got an error. In that case, a simple reset might solve your issue.
After that, you can reconfigure your router again.
Here’s an easy path you can take to reset your router:
- Make sure your router is plugged in, and then find the reset button on it.
- Insert a paperclip to press and hold it down for 15 seconds approximately until you see blinkings.
- Release the button and wait for some time to see the network is restored.

Here’s a pathway you must take to add ports to the Firewall for your Windows 10:
- Go to Control Panel and move to System and Security.
- Navigate to Windows Defender Firewall and choose Advanced settings.
- Click on the Inbound Rules and click on New Rule.
- Choose Port for the Rule Type and click Next.
- Choose the TCP option for Does this rule apply to TCP or UDP.
- Click Specific local ports and insert TCP port to allow.
- Click Next.
Note: The standard SQL port is 1433, but it can be different.
- Select Allow the connection and click Next.
- Choose When to apply the rule and click Next.
- Choose a name and enter it in the Name Also, enter a Description (Optional).
- Click Finish and give your computer a restart.
