However, there are only a limited number of fishing spots throughout Teyvat, and you can only find them by exploring the maps. Sounds troublesome, right?

Where to Fish in Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact has come a long way from the 2.1 update, where fishing was first introduced. And in version 3.8, catching fish becomes a major part. You need fish not only for different consumables, but you can unlock one of the coolest tridents, the catch from Kujirai Momiji near Inazuma City after catching certain fishes.

However, different fishes require different baits in Genshin Impact. So make sure to have the necessary bait if you want a certain fish.

Note: you get different fishes during the daytime(in-game 6 A.M. to 6 P.M.)and nighttime (in-game 6 P.M. to 6 A.M.). And they respawn after three days in real life.

How To Identify Fishing Spots In Genshin Impact

There isn’t any fixed rule to find the fishing locations in Genshin Impact. In my case, I’ve found most of the fish spots just by walking around the corner or shores of any lake, river, sometimes ocean.

Whenever you see circles on the surface water, most probably, there’s a fishing location near it. Just go close to the water circles, and you will see a fishing hook on your mini-map and the extended map.

Also, whenever there’s an ornamental fish in any fishing spot, the game will show you a light indicating the fishing location. When get close, you will also see the fish jumping out of the water.

These fishes are usually harder to catch than the normal ones, however, if manage to catch one, you can place it in your house.
