Background Story of EVGA
EVGA is a USA-based computer and hardware manufacturer established in 1999. It didn’t take that long to become one of the best NVIDIA-based graphics card manufacturers.
EVGA is among the first companies that introduced factory overclocked GPUs. They are also among those few companies that introduced motherboards capable of supporting four GPUs running in SLI, GPUs capable of running in 4-way SLI, and the list goes on.
Then they joined the Intel chipset-based motherboard manufacturing back in 2009 with their X58 SLI motherboard.
EVGA has spent the last decade polishing its products, making innovations, and expanding its product lineup. Now they offer power supplies, liquid coolers, and computer cases. EVGA also offers computer accessories like gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, etc.

GIGABYTE is a Taiwanese manufacturer of computer hardware and components. The business was established in 1986. However, they had a vision for the future.
As the name suggests, gigabytes may sound minor in the current generation. We take terabytes as a bare minimum for pc storage. But back in the 80s, gigabyte sounded like science fiction. So they had that vision when a gigabyte was in people’s imaginations.
GIGABYTE was a boutique computer hardware firm at the beginning. Under the outstanding leadership of Pei-Cheng, the founder and current chairman, GIGABYTE is now one of the biggest motherboard manufacturers in the world.
They started their hunt from the motherboard sector but had the vision to conquer the tech industry. Gradually GIGABYTE entered the consumer electronics market with desktops, laptops, tablets, ultrabooks, mobile phones, etc.
They also supplied monitors, mice, keyboards, optical drives, cooling systems, power supply, and cases in addition to computer components. GIGABYTE has collaborated with a number of companies to create specialized PCs, server racks, and network equipment.
GIGABYTE loves to take risks. Like EVGA, their products also flopped. But considering their core business and global reach, absorbing the loss is not a big deal for them.
But there is one sector where GIGABYTE is different from EVGA. GIGABYTE is a publicly traded company. So, people get information about the company’s financial and operational revenue.

EVGA and GIGABYTE both produce excellent build quality PC components. However, EVGA offers excellent support, warranties, and customer service, whereas GIGABYTE provides a wide range of products. For GPUs, GIGABYTE makes both NVIDIA and AMD cards, while EVGA only makes NVIDIA cards.
In the past, EVGA and GIGABYTE produced and sold many of the same products. But their current product lineup only overlaps in a handful of areas like GPUs, motherboards, mice, and keyboards.

Verdict: Based on the comparison, it is clear that EVGA offers better frame rates in games. However, GIGABYTE is not far behind. Looking at the current pricing, GIGABYTE is slightly lower than the EVGA cards.
If you consider value for money, then GIGABYTE is the winner here.

Warranty
EVGA and GIGABYTE offer the same 3-year warranty on their sites for all GPU purchases. They will repair and replace your card if it has any defects. Both companies are highly reputed for their warranty policies.
However, EVGA pulls ahead with a small but effective clause. If you want to sell your GPU to someone else, the warranty will be transferred to their name. This clause is named as Transferable Limited Warranty clause.
Verdict: For the warranty segment, EVGA is the winner.
Customer Support
EVGA’s customer support is excellent compared to GIGABYTE. You will have an awesome time with EVGA’s customer service if you come from the USA or any English-speaking country. It’s because EVGA is an American company. So its support team is formed by American staff.
I’m not defaming GIGABYTE at all. It also has good customer support. However, sometimes the customer service teams don’t get available. And this is quite frustrating when you are seeking help.
Verdict: EVGA is the clear winner here.
